Hot Air Balloon Serengeti

Experience the Wilderness of East Africa
There might not be another spot on the planet as deeply woven into the fabric of the human psyche as the rolling tall grass lands of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. Home to the highest density of game viewing on the planet, the Serengeti, along with its sister park, the Masai Mara in Kenya, is the quintessential spot for an African safari. The odds of seeing lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, and hippopotamus, to say nothing of the myriad other large mammals roaming the grassland are all greater here than perhaps anywhere on the planet. In and of itself, a trip to the Serengeti is an adventure traveler’s dream. The possibility of viewing the reserve from above in a hot air balloon only adds to the already exotic adventure. Make sure to plan your trip around the great migration. Around October, approximately 2 million ungulates (herbivores) primarily composed of wildebeests make their way in search of fresh grass and water. The mass movement of such a huge number of large mammals challenges the imagination. To see it from the lofty perspective of a hot air balloon gives you a bird’s eye view of the drama that unfolds on the spectacular plains below.
